New-generation lighting debuts

Tuttlingen, December 2011 – At the Medica trade fair, which was held in Düsseldorf from 16 to 19 November, BERCHTOLD unveiled its innovative CHROMOPHARE F Generation surgical lights and their unique lighting concept. The product highlights presented at the trade fair also included the new TELETOM ceiling supply units and the modular OPERON series of OR-tables. Visitors to the stand were also able to configure their own operating room on screen using a 3D planning software program. The multimedia Vision Lounge offered visitors a place to relax and linger. Here, they could watch the company's latest public relations film with Cinemizer, using the special 3D glasses with integrated display and sound system. "At Medica, we succeeded in presenting our innovations to the fullest effect. With our new CHROMOPHARE F Generation, we have established ourselves as a trendsetter in the market", said Georg Frosch, BERCHTOLD Sales Director for the EMEA Region. The medical technology company presented at the trade fair jointly with its system partner Matachana/Webeco, which develops comprehensive sterilisation solutions for hospitals. Webeco is a member of the Matachana Group, which is active internationally. Whereas its production facilities are located in Barcelona, all product development is carried out in Selmsdorf, close to Lübeck.

Together with Compamed, the sister trade fair for suppliers that is held concurrently, Medica is the world's largest event of its kind for the medical industry. It serves as a showcase for technical and medical innovations relating to all aspects of outpatient and inpatient care, provides a venue for conferences and forums and serves as a centre for exchanging experiences and advanced training. This year more than 4,500 exhibitors from 70 countries presented their products and services to over 134,500 professionals visiting from all over the world.

BERCHTOLD presented its innovative product line on a stand measuring 100 square metres. It included the new CHROMOPHARE F Generation surgical light. The innovative F Generation lighting concept combines LED technology with a new, unique reflector technology. 
 

The new TELETOM ceiling supply units are constructed as a system of exchangeable modules and provide customers with clear added value.
