  • AutoLux: Optimal light intensity  in every size
    Our innovative light control technology ensures constant light quality, independent of the light field size. This allows the surgeon to increase and decrease the light field while keeping the light quality (colour temperature, colour location, etc.) and the light intensity constant. Thus, refocusing is unnecessary; the surgeon can concentrate more fully on the patient, and the eye does not need to adapt to changing light intensity and quality.
  • Sleep mode: Light without compromises
    During a procedure, the light can first be switched off with the touch of a button, and then as needed immediately be reproduced in full power without having to wait for the warm-up phase of the lamp typical for gas discharge lights. "GuideLite", the light remaining during the sleep function, provides a pleasant orientation light pointing downwards; while EndoLite provides indirect illumination pointing upwards. Ideal for use in endoscopic procedures.
  • Cool: ThermoSorb Filter System
    For many years, surgeons have appreciated the CHROMOPHARE ThermoSorb Filter System, which filters up to 99.5% of the IR radiation from the light. This provides the surgeon with cool, bright light with a nominal output of barely 70 or 150 W, without drying out the tissue.
  • Colour properties in natural light quality
    Thanks to their colour temperature of 4,500 K, CHROMOPHARE lights produce white light in natural light quality, letting you distinguish clearly between a variety of tissues. High colour temperatures are also proven to increase the performance and concentration of the OR team, which significantly reduces the risk of errors from lack of concentration. 
  • Dispose of shadows: the free-form polygon reflector
    The constantly improved polygon reflector consists of hundreds of facets. Each individual facet illuminates the entire OR field. The homogeneous light column thus created is not only as bright as daylight, it is also free of hard shadows, and ensures good, plastic vision. Even if the surgeon blocks part of the light source with shoulders, hands or head.
  • 100% Light availability
    Using the long-lasting gas discharge lamp ensures a light with constant quality and colour temperature over the entire lamp life cycle of over 5,000 service hours. In addition, the BRITe backup solution effectively prevents an intraoperative light failure. Optionally, the built-in backup battery maintains the power supply and therefore also the OR field illumination for an additional 60 seconds during a power failure. The defective lamps can be easily and conveniently replaced with minimal handling and without tools.
  • Easy to use
    CHROMOPHARE lights are small and powerful, and therefore simple to move. The railing surrounding them enables positioning of the light even from outside the sterile OR field. The handle can be sterilised, and the underside of the lights is made of a special, easy-to-clean safety glass. The aluminum design, with powder mould coating, guarantees simple, hygienic cleaning and a long service life.
