BERCHTOLD as employer
We are quite aware and very grateful, that only with people getting wholeheartedly involved for BERCHTOLD we could manage to achieve all hitherto existing success.
For that reason, it is of utmost importance to us that these people keep feeling comfortable working for BERCHTOLD – and this ideally for their whole working life.
One of our business objectives is therefore defined as follows:
“To create employee satisfaction through secure jobs, optimal working conditions, challenging tasks, continuous education and career opportunities.”
The satisfaction of our employees is shown in our quite low resignation rate of 3,2 %.
Also, the healthy aspect of our employees is close to our heart. The job safety is furthermore proven by our very low number of staff away sick, which at least has always been lying clearly underneath the national average.
We can only master all upcoming challenges with optimally skilled and qualified employees. We therefore offer our employees numerous further training possibilities - either on a specialist level or on a social level.
Thus, with BERCHTOLD you will find continuous language courses as well as human resource developments which are individually fitted to any single employee. They are accompanied by our BERCHTOLD Training Program (BTP).
Our management culture is: Management by conviction and persuading.
Engagement is resulting by persuasion. The BERCHTOLD management team is therefore informing their staff members actively and making clear the reasons of their decisions. Their management style is characterized by challenging and on the same time realizable objectives. Respect towards all individuals is an important people skill of the BERCHTOLD management team. This is shown by an attentively listening, constructive feedback and fairness with colleagues on all levels.

Feedback culture
The feedbacks are initiating learning processes and learning is leading to improvement. The BERCHTOLD executive managers are therefore encouraging their staff members and colleagues to an open dialogue and criticism. They are returning also an open, prompt and fair feedback. BERCHTOLD executive managers and colleagues address mistakes in a factual way and are mutually elaborating sustainable solutions.
