What is that for a mixture?

A mechanic and an electronic technician at the same time. As nowadays the mechanic, electronic, control technology and informatics are considered as one functional combination universal people are on demand.

During education you will learn basic skills in the metal working. Furthermore, you will learn the assembling of mechanical, electronic components. You will realize functional and safety examinations, programming and start up systems. Of course, the documentation of your work by means of the PC belongs also to it as well as the maintenance of the production lines.

What happens after the apprenticeship?

As an educated mechatronics fitter you can work in the production, quality assurance or repairing department. If you like having contact with other people and furthermore like working independently you can pass an internal further training and become a service technician. Special talented and interested mechatronics fitter it is possible to work in the R&D department or to attend school once again and to further educate yourself as a technician or engineer.

For who makes it actually sense to become an industrial mechanic?

If you like to work meticulously or to puzzle, if you are inspired by technique, if the digital world and the world of electronics is familiar to you than this apprenticeship is pretty the right thing for you.

Duration of apprenticeship: 3.5 years
Preconditions: O-Levels
