By way of tradition: Will to serve people
For three generations in the hands of the family BERCHTOLD is dedicated to serve the people.
In 1922 Theodor Berchtold founded the company in Tuttlingen. His aim was to produce first-class surgical instruments. In 1956 his son-in-law, Eduard Fritz, assumed the control. He was open-minded for new technologies and gave decisive impulses for the modernization of working equipment and the enlargement of the company. In 1984 his son, Theo Fritz, entered into the management board of BERCHTOLD. Due to his vision of an operating room of the next generation and his world-wide expansion BERCHTOLD could manage to establish as market leader.
In the production, R&D and developing sites in Germany, Suisse and USA BERCHTOLD employs over 400 employees and each of them in full personal activity for continuously further improvements in the operating rooms.
We do produce not only the world-wide most effective operating lights but also operating tables having extraordinary good imaging characteristics and best patient keeping possibilities. We support the surgeon by an ergonomically elaborated and user-optimized ceiling pendant concept. Hereby, the applied module design enables a problem-free adoption to any further technical development.
In a word: we develop, produce and install products with which the surgeons can work today and tomorrow even better.
